Artists with a Message

Creating a Better Life for Our Kids.
Become a Part of Our Mission.

Kabuki Dancers are a group of performing artists from the Acadiana area of Louisiana. As a group, we have performed and competed at various festivals, stage shows and competitions throughout the nation. Highlights include: The Apollo Theater NYC, local media appearances, as well as being a part of Festival International de Louisiane. Locally, we work within our library and public school system to inform and influence those in our community in a positive way. We are artists with a message! Our first program, “Never Give Up!”, focuses on achieving goals through hard work and determination. Next, “Drop The B.E.A.T (Bullying Ends After Talking)” is our anti-bullying program featuring drums, spoken word poetry and dance. And third, “Shots Fired”, our project motivated by the recent surge of youth gun violence. With this program we hope to educate our audience on how to channel negative emotions into self-expression through art and creativity.

They came to my school and encouraged kids to come up and talk about their bullying experiences. I was on of them. It was very emotional and 50 % of the audience was crying because of the kids that went up there and how sad it was.

My people, making great things happen for Lafayette and the surrounding areas. Teacher friends, friends with kids, camp leaders... if you get the opportunity to catch one of these highly uplifting and funkadelic performances, it will change your life.
