Mission: To mentor and inspire the youth using the elements of Hip-Hop culture.

The Breakdown –

The Elements of Hip-Hop Culture

The Breakdown GOAL

The Breakdown – The Elements of Hip-Hop Culture is our program which was created in honor of Black History Month, but it became so popular we now offer it year-round.

In honor of Black History Month, we have put together a program that focuses on the history of Hip-Hop and the important figures that pioneered the culture. The program includes a discussion on the elements of Hip-Hop (and their respective pioneers), demonstrations, and a dance workshop which the audience can participate in at the end.

They came to my school and encouraged kids to come up and talk about their bullying experiences. I was on of them. It was very emotional and 50 % of the audience was crying because of the kids that went up there and how sad it was.

My people, making great things happen for Lafayette and the surrounding areas. Teacher friends, friends with kids, camp leaders... if you get the opportunity to catch one of these highly uplifting and funkadelic performances, it will change your life.
